Veronica Jill Blumhorst was last seen leaving her place of employment in Mendota, Illinois during the early morning hours of September 20, 1990. Blumhorst, 21 at the time, left work at Super Value Grocery Store, her vehicle was found parked in the garage of her residence just four blocks away from her place of employment the following morning. Local law enforcement authorities were contacted and an extensive investigation was conducted, however Blumhorst whereabouts remain unknown.

Benita was originally reported missing by her mother when she didn't show up for work or school. She disappeared on the day that her ex-husband was released from jail. He was incarcerated for kidnapping and beating her the year before her disappearance. In addition to the height/weight information above, Benita has a mark on her left cheek, a chipped front tooth and a surgical scar on her abdomen from a hernia operation that she had right after she was born.
A recent inquiry into Benita's case revealed that all documents related to her disappearance have either been lost or destroyed. A new report has been generated.
